2019 Blake Stage Banquet!

We invite you to the Annual Blake Stage Company Banquet, which will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, at the Norbeck County Club (17200 Cashell Rd., Rockville, MD).  The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m., followed by a cabaret of performers, awards, and speeches.  This year’s banquet will be particularly poignant, and you won’t want to miss it!

Dinner will be buffet style with the following selections:  Rolls and butter, Garden salad with a duet of dressings, French green beans, Penne pasta, Chicken parmesan, Salmon, and an Ice cream bar with toppings.  Lemonade, iced tea, coffee and tea will be your beverage choices.  

The buffet will cost $32 per person; $14 for children under age 10.  Our Treasurer, Bob Greitzer, has set up a handy Pay Pal link for us to make our payments.  Please use the link below, but please note:  A $1 fee will be assessed per person, as we have to pay to use Pay Pal.  Also note:  I don’t think the Pay Pal link works with the children’s fee.  Families bringing younger ones will probably have to pay by check.

For those of you who prefer to make payment by check or cash, our Secretary, Jane Smith, will be at Blake during the following times to collect your payments:  

Monday 4/15 – 2:30-2:45 outside in front of school near main office doors

Tuesday 4/16 – 11:25-11:40 main office

Tuesday 4/23 – 11:25-11:40 main office

Wednesday 4/24 – 2:30-2:45 outside in front of school near main office doors

Thursday 4/25 – – 11:25-11:40 main office

No matter how you plan to pay, please email Jane separately and let her know how many will be attending (jane.smith@comcast.net).  Also, if paying for the banquet is a financial burden for you, be sure to let Ms. Smith know.  She will make sure that you can still attend. 

THE DEADLINE FOR SIGNING UP FOR THE BANQUET IS THURSDAY 4/25 AT 12 NOON.  We have to give the final number to Norbeck on that Thursday.

Finally, we have held a small Silent Auction during this event in the recent past.  If any of you have something you could donate to a silent auction, please let us know?

The Blake Stage Company Children’s Theatre is proud to present the Wizard of Oz.

The shows will be held throughout the county at elementary schools during the day.

But you can catch this wonderful production at the Blake Black Box Theatre too!

Blake Stage Presents: The Little Mermaid

Coming in November: Blake High School Stage Company presents The Little Mermaid, the musical adaptation of Disney’s 1989 film, with music by Alan Menken. You won’t want to miss the story of Ariel, the little mermaid who is tired of flipping her fins and longs to be part of the fascinating world on dry land. Joining her are: Sebastian, Ariel’s crabby sidekick; her loyal friend, Flounder; the ever-optimistic seagull, Scuttle; Triton, King of the Sea and a host of other entertaining sea creatures. The curious young mermaid falls for a handsome human prince and agrees to a dangerous bargain with Ursula, the powerful sea witch, in exchange for legs and a chance to live with the prince on land.

Performances:  November 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18 at 7:00 PM in the Carole C. Goodman Theater, Blake High School, 300 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD. Reserved seats are available in advance at: www.eventbrite.com or general admission at the door.
